Email-Friendly Embeds for Ghost
An embed on the web. A card for the inbox.
Embeds are made for the web, but often fail in email. This tool gives you the right card for each place: the real embed on your site, a card with the same content in the inbox, and a few cards Ghost doesn't have at all.
How it works
Paste a link. Copy code that works everywhere Ghost can go.
Paste a link
A Spotify track, album, playlist, show or episode, an Instagram post or reel, a Bluesky post, a Datawrapper chart, map or table, or a PDF. The embed code works too.
Copy, then paste into Ghost
One copy puts the cards on the clipboard: the embed for the web and the card for email, or the one card. Paste on an empty line in the editor.
Confirm visibility
Chrome pastes each card with its visibility already set correctly; other browsers may need an extra click or two.

What it can do
The same content, wherever the post lands.
A small image with its caption
The photo on one side, the caption beside it at the bottom, one step smaller than the newsletter's text. Pick the photo from your Image Library and its caption comes along, or upload one and type the caption.
An author bio card
Photo beside name, role and bio, side by side at every width, with a hairline border if you like. Pick the writer from your Ghost staff list or type them in, and save the card for next time. Email first; tick a box for the web and the social web too.
Right on the social web, too
Ghost's ActivityPub network gets the web version of your post. The Spotify player plays there, the Datawrapper chart shows there, and the Instagram and Bluesky cards stand in for embeds that can't load.
