Itty Bitty Ad Server

You sold the ad. Now just put it up.

The local bakery bought a month. You've got the artwork in your inbox. You do not need an ad network, a bidding system, or a contract — you need the image on the page and a number to send them at the end of the month. That's all the Itty Bitty Ad Server does.

How it works

One script tag, then never touch your theme again.

Paste one line into Ghost

Into code injection, once. No theme edits, no template surgery, nothing to re-paste when an ad changes.

Upload the artwork

Give it the image and the link. Add a desktop, tablet, and phone version so the ad fits whatever your reader is holding.

Choose where it sits

A sticky bar along the bottom, or slotted in next to anything on the page. Save, and it's live in about a minute.

What it can do

Small on purpose.

Several sponsors, one slot

Put more than one ad in a placement and they rotate, weighted however you like — so the sponsor who bought more gets shown more.

Impressions and clicks

Counted only when the ad was actually on screen, with daily uniques over 7 and 30 days. Enough to answer "did it work?" honestly.

Show it to the right readers

Aim an ad at logged-out visitors, free members, or paying ones — and keep it off the pages where it doesn't belong.

Fits the screen it lands on

A tall block on a phone, a banner on a desktop. Resize the window and it swaps to the right one rather than squashing.

Your readers aren't tracked

No third-party network, no profile building, no visitor ID leaving the browser. The counting happens without following anybody around.

Say it's an ad

An optional disclosure label sits with each ad, because readers deserve to know and you'd rather they heard it from you.

What it deliberately isn't: an ad network, an exchange, a bidding system, or a payment processor. You sell the ad and you keep the money. There's more on the blog about where the line is.

Pricing

Comes with Core.

The Itty Bitty Ad Server is included on the Core plan, along with the rest of the toolbox on simple, fair pricing. One sponsor probably covers it.
